Zimpost is hiring Systems Database Administrator Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent will be reporting to the Business Applications Manager and will be responsible for the following, among other duties: Accountable for the database management systems at Zimpost. Plan and coordinate database security measures alongside network administrators. Design and enhance database for the organisation’s MIS/ICT systems. Conduct periodical database optimisation, monitoring, administration, maintenance and fine tuning. Record and maintain periodical database performance metrics. Conduct database user management emphasizing on segregation of duties through assignment of appropriate roles/privileges/permissions. Manage security and disaster recovery aspects of a database. Establish, plan, configure and perform database backup/ restorations and DRP procedures. Advise on new database technologies with a view of implementing them. Assist in the development and maintenance of the business continuity and recovery system for the organization.

The incumbent will be responsible for all administrative work and driver duties that are required to support the efficient functioning of the sub office. Duties and Responsibilities Driving Duties: -Transporting TechnoServe staff, Fellows, officers, and visitors safely and reliably to various work locations and residences. -Remaining on standby for urgent and non-urgent dispatches as well as mail deliveries. -Delivering confidential documents to institutions such as banks, embassies, and government offices. General Vehicle Maintenance (motor vehicle and motorbikes) -Taking daily responsibility for servicing, maintaining, cleaning, and refueling assigned vehicles. Administration -Assist with front office management, asset management and procurement Program Management: -Assist Program Managers in coordinating and organizing meetings with farmers and stakeholders -Work cooperatively with all team members to support the achievement of work plan activities designed to achieve project goals and objectives
